Investigation Details

On February 13, 2025, Barclays disclosed in its annual report for 2024 that the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority was investigating whether financial controls at the Company’s U.K. division had been too lax and whether Barclays had violated anti-money laundering laws.

Following this news, Barclay’s American Depositary Receipt (“ADR”) price fell over 5% on the same day.
